Student: Hello, good morning.I'm a UKM student. Can I speak with the manager of UKM transportation unit?

Manager: Yes,this is the manager speaking. May I know what the problem is?

Student: Actually, I want to complain about the attitude of your bus driver.

Manager: I see.Could you tell me more about it?

Student: A few days ago, I took the UKM feeder bus to go to the commuter station. The bus driver was rude, yelling at the students and saying negative words to us when we did not queue to get on the bus.
I'm so angry about the matter.

Manager: Oh..I'm sorry about that.Could you tell me more about the bus driver?

Student: He is a Malay.I think he is about 30 years old.He is not friendly and always angry. That's all.

Manager: Did you note the registration number of the bus?

Student: Of course. It is BFK 2754.

Manager: Ok. Thanks for that information.I'll look into this matter. I ensure you the problem will not happen again.

Student: Thank you,sir.

Manager: You are welcome.

Children as integral parts of a budding society are as a rule aculturized via the parent media whether directly or through surogates.

This process requires rewards {as your suggested hugs and kisses} and punishments as behavioural modifiers without which their assimilation into the larger society becomes an adventure in deliquency.

The prudent father and mother should firstly understand the background influences which affect their children and apply measures to guide {reward,} and correct {punish,} them accordinly.

The attempt to excise pain from punishment is alien to nature and is a direct reason why there is an explosion of violence, lack of respect, and so many other undesirable traits amongst children in these times.

to buttress the submission above, if one puts one's fingr in a cup or pan of hot water, obviously the reaction informs one to be wary when around hot water. This is a deterrent and evident every where in nature.

To conclude, man should reconcile himself to emploting those parameters in nature which aid his living in better security and contentment with all others. This begins from chilhood.

In response to:My secret lives

I liked the Blog.

In response to:My Problem

My daughter and son are in standard four and two respectively. They are both very good children. Everyday they would complete their homework but with help from their parents. Their mother send them to school by car everyday. My children get up early every morning, clean themselves up, pray and have a good breakfast before going to school.

Both of them had their exams last week. They got As in all subjects but B for English.During holidays they studied hard for the exam- one hour in the morning and one hour at night and I expected them to do better. As a father I feel sad but as a student in UKM, I am also struggling with my English.

P/s Do not despair Noh. Your eagerness to improve in English will rub on your children. As I said in class, create opportunities for English exposure within the family. Read to the children (use books with beautiful illustrations as that will spark their interest), play games following simple instructions, do origami with English instructions, cook something as a family using a recipe written in English etc.,etc. All these activities will not only help you to improve your English but good for family bonding. Learning English should be fun.
